Focus Ontario: Toronto

September 16 - September 17

Arts and culture advocates, creators, curators, designers, educators, funders, managers, presenters, producers + technologists are invited to contribute to the design of Artse United, an open source arts management platform cooperative.

Help imagine a more accessible digital future via two days of free participatory workshops and public consultations facilitated by a dozen visionary arts leaders. Attend one or both days. No digital expertise required. The sessions will be livestreamed across Canada for those that cannot attend in person. Both sessions are presented in English with some Q&A in English or French.

The venue is physically accessible featuring wheelchair accessible automatic main entrance, easy access to elevator, and barrier-free washroom including door and stall.

Focus Ontario is presented by ArtsPond with Agilo Arts, BeMused Network, Creative Users Projects, Mass Culture, Ontario Association of Art Galleries, and Stephanie Guico.

Supported by the Digital Strategy Fund at Canada Council for the Arts, the mandate of Artse United is to:

+ Enhance the excellence and efficiency of arts administration by developing quality arts management digital tools built by, and for, the arts

+ Strengthen digital and data justice by empowering artistic communities to take ownership of the digital lives, information, and content through platforms owned and governed by themselves

+ Reduce systemic precarity by utilizing the power of data to illustrate collective insight and learning and incite greater economic investment in the arts.
